Senior guard Jovan Crnic scored a game-high 28 points as Hawaii Prep outlasted Kealakehe 55-54 in double overtime on the road Wednesday in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation boys basketball game.
With its victory, HPA (6-3) moved into a first-place tie with Kohala atop the BIIF Division II standings.
Senior guard Deion Utrera scored 26 points for Division I Kealakehe (3-7).

Waiakea 53, St. Joseph 19: Junior Maikai Gahan scored eight points and senior Michael Morikawa added seven Tuesday night at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium as the Warriors improved to 8-3.
Junior Ben Uhlmann scored eight points for the Cardinals (0-11) and freshman Kaena Nahoopi’i added seven.
